Banks Co., GA (January 4, 2025) – A traffic accident happened in Banks County on the morning of January 3. Shortly after 11:00 a.m., the collision occurred on Steve Reynolds Industrial Parkway when a black Nissan Versa operated by Patricia Ann Stephens, 86, of Commerce, was headed east on the roadway. A deputy identified as Justin Forrester, 28, was operating a Banks County Sheriff’s Office patrol vehicle headed south on SR 15. Stephens failed to yield after stopping at a stop sign and pulled out in front of the deputy. The Nissan and the front passenger side of the patrol vehicle then collided. Stephens was transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville to be treated for injuries he sustained in the crash. Police in Banks County continue to investigate.
