Banks Crossing, GA (January 6, 2025) – A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Monday morning, January 6, in Banks Crossing. Police report the crash happened at approximately 6:00 a.m. at the intersection of U.S. 441 and Pottery Factory Drive.
Hubert Williams, 57, was struck by a Chevrolet Silverado operated by Corey Roberson, 41, of Bowersville. Roberson was attempting to turn left onto the highway when he failed to see Williams crossing the street. Banks County Fire and Emergency Services responded to the scene. The victim received emergency medical care before being taken to Piedmont Athens Regional in serious condition. Police in Banks Crossing continue to investigate the incident.
