Georgia Car Crashes
Car crashes happen in Georgia and throughout the United States all the time. On average, over 6 million auto accidents are reported across the country every year. Of these crashes, more than 3 million people are hurt, and approximately 40,000 end up losing their lives annually. In Georgia specifically, over 400,000 traffic accidents happen per year, while around 150,000 people suffer injuries. Sadly, more than 1,500 people are killed every year due to these crashes.
Unfortunately, the majority of car crashes in the US are caused by the actions of negligent drivers. Driver negligence can be displayed in many ways, including distraction, speeding, intoxication, and fatigue. The most common type of negligent driving seen by Georgia drivers today is distraction, closely followed by intoxication.
