Gainesville, GA (November 16, 2024) – A hit-and-run crash in Gainesville ended in injuries. It happened just before 10:00 p.m. on State Route 369 near Cherokee Trail. One vehicle reportedly rear-ended another as it was trying to turn left onto Cherokee Trail. The vehicle that rear-ended the other rolled backward after the crash and left the roadway to the right. The vehicle that got rear-ended fled the scene without stopping to render aid or wait for authorities. One individual suffered injuries in the crash, identified as Joe Mwete, 24, of Oakwood. Police in Gainesville continue to investigate.
