Gainesville, GA (November 11, 2024) – A teenage driver was injured on Monday morning, November 11, after being involved in an accident in Gainesville. Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene at around 6:45 a.m. Sources say it happened on Candler Road near the intersection with State Route 60 when the teen was involved in a head-on crash with another vehicle.
The vehicle, identified as a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado, was stopped in the roadway. The impact of the crash sent the Silverado into the front of a 2003 Chevrolet C15 occupied by a 3-year-old, an 8-year-old, and a 27-year-old. The Chevrolet C15 was then pushed into a 2023 Kia Seltos. The teenage driver was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries. At this time, information concerning the other involved individuals has not been reported. Police in Gainesville continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
We hope for the full recovery of the injured victim.
