Gainesville, GA – Stephen Lee Wilson Killed in Crash on Old Cornelia Hwy

Gainesville, GA (November 21, 2024) – A man from Lawrenceville is being charged in connection with a collision that took the life of a Gainesville man on Wednesday night, November 21, in Gainesville. The Hall County Sheriff’s Office stated that 24-year-old Aman Panjwani is facing charges concerning the collision that occurred at approximately 10:30 p.m. on Old Cornelia Highway near Shady Valley Road. Preliminary reports show Panjwani was headed north on Old Cornelia Highway when he missed a turn and made a U-turn. He then attempted to negotiate a curve in the road, traveled into the oncoming lane, and struck the victim’s vehicle head-on. The victim, identified as Stephen Lee Wilson, 53, was pronounced deceased on-site. Panjwani is currently facing charges, including second-degree vehicular homicide. Police continue to investigate.
