Gwinnett Co., GA (March 5, 2025) – The Georgia State Patrol responded to the scene of a traffic accident in Norcross on Wednesday afternoon, March 5. Reports show the crash happened at approximately 1:30 p.m. in the 700 block of Summer Place near Beaver Ruin Road and the Buford Highway.
Police said a vehicle was headed west on Beaver Ruin Road when it left the roadway and struck a center median before crossing eastbound traffic. The vehicle then left the road again, drove through a grassy area and traveled off of a retaining wall approximately 30 feet high. Police say the vehicle then struck the back end of a second-floor apartment. Medics pronounced the driver deceased at the scene. A female passenger was taken to Northside-Gwinnett in Lawrenceville.
At this time, the names of the victims have not been reported. Police continue to investigate.
