Georgia Auto Accidents
Car crashes happen constantly in the United States and throughout the state of Georgia. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Association, there are over 400,000 auto collisions per year. Of these crashes, more than 150,000 people suffer injuries, while approximately 1,500 end up losing their lives per year.
Regrettably, negligent driving is the most common reason behind the majority of car accidents in the US today. Drivers who operate their vehicles while intoxicated, fatigued, speeding or distracted cause crashes that end in injuries and fatalities every day. On average, over 100 people are killed daily in traffic collisions in the US, over 90% of which are caused by negligence.
Speeding alone is behind approximately 11,000 deaths per year. Additionally, around 12,000 people lose their lives in intoxicated driving crashes annually. This is over half of the national accident fatality rate alone.
