Habersham Co., GA (October 13, 2024) – A traffic accident involving a sheriff’s patrol vehicle in Habersham County happened on October 12.
At around 10:43 p.m., responders were dispatched to the scene of the collision on US 441 near the Tom Arrendale Interchange. Several emergency crews were observed near the Toccoa Highway just outside Clarkesville. Two cars, including the patrol car and a passenger vehicle, collided under circumstances still being investigated. The patrol vehicle had extensive front-end damage and a Mazda CX was seen up against a utility pole. Paramedics worked to help wounded parties and transport them to the hospital as needed. Currently, police continue to investigate.
