Hall Co., GA (December 11, 2024) – A pair of related accidents on the Dawsonville Highway left four individuals with injuries on Tuesday morning, December 10.
The Georgia State Patrol reports the first crash occurred at approximately 2:20 a.m. near the Hall-Forsyth county line and the Bolling Bridge. A tractor-trailer reportedly struck a guardrail and overturned into a ditch, police said. The driver of that truck sustained injuries and was transported to an area hospital. The scene remained active until almost 7:00 a.m., with the congestion caused by the crash ultimately causing the second collision. Police say a Toyota Corolla operated by Luis Villaviciendo Rodriguez, 24, of Flowery Branch, was headed west on Dawsonville Highway when it rear-ended a car stuck in traffic. The crash sent that vehicle careening into another vehicle and stopped ahead of it. All three drivers in that crash sustained injuries and Rodriguez was cited for following too closely. Several lanes of the highway were closed for hours while responders worked in the area. Police in Hall County continue to investigate.
We hope for the full recovery of the injured victims.
