Hall Co., GA (December 27, 2024) – One person was hurt in a hit-and-run crash in Hall County on Wednesday, December 25. The Hall County Sheriff’s Office reports that a man was operating his vehicle on the wrong side of the road on Memorial Park Drive when he struck another car at Centennial Drive.
The driver of that vehicle was injured in the crash. The driver who caused the accident fled the scene before crashing into a mailbox and a trash can on Mountain View Road near Hilldale Road. Police say he left that scene but was detained a short while later by the Oakwood Police Department. He was then arrested and charged with DUI, open container, leaving the scene of a crash, driving on the wrong side of the road, driving with a suspended license, suspended/revoked tires, and failure to maintain lane. Police in Hall County continue to investigate the details of the accident.
We hope for the full recovery of the injured victim.
