Hall Co., GA (February 3, 2025) – A two-vehicle collision in Hall County took the lives of two teens on Saturday morning, February 1. The Georgia State Patrol reports the wreck occurred on GA 365 at approximately 11:30 a.m. A 2009 Mercedes E320 was headed north on SR 365 in the vicinity of Whitehall Road. The driver lost control of the vehice for reasons that are still being inquired by the police, thus causing the car to rotate and strike a 2020 Kia Sportage in the right lane. The Kia then ran off the road and came to an uncontrolled stop. The Mercedes also left the roadway, striking several trees before stopping.
The driver of the Mercedes, a 17-year-old from Winder, lost his life due to the extent of his injuries. His passenger, a 16-year-old, also of Winder, was transported to Northeast GA Medical Center with serious injuries. She later lost her life. At this time, the health conditions of the occupants inside the Kia have not been reported. The crash remains under investigation by Hall County police as well as the Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team.
