Lawrenceville, GA (November 28, 2024) – One person was killed and several others suffered injuries after a traffic accident on Wednesday evening in Lawrenceville.
Information provided by the Lawrenceville Police Department shows that police were sent to the scene on Buford Drive near Hurricane Shoals Road at around 6:00 p.m. on November 27. All northbound and southbound lanes were blocked while responders worked at the scene. Police investigations revealed a northbound vehicle on Buford Drive was involved in a head-on crash with a Nissan Rogue. The Nissan’s driver lost their life in the collision. The other vehicle’s driver and several passengers were hospitalized with injuries deemed non-life-threatening. Police say that alcohol is suspected to be a contributing factor in the cause of the collision and that charges are forthcoming. Police have not identified anyone involved in the accident as they continue investigating.
