Rabun Co., GA – Wrong-Way Crash on Hwy 441 Results in Injuries

Rabun Co., GA (March 23, 2025) – Police in Rabun County report a wrong-way driver collided with another vehicle on Friday evening, March 21. The wreck occurred at approximately 8:07 p.m. near Rabun County High School on Highway 441. Preliminary crash reports from the Georgia State Patrol reveal a Chevrolet Impala was headed south in the northbound lanes, approaching a Lincoln Navigator headed north. The Navigator attempted to veer into the inside lane to avoid the crash, but the Impala struck the SUV on its rear passenger side.

Following the collision, the Navigator overturned, and the Impala left the road and went into a ditch. Debris from the wreck damaged the windshield and roof of a northbound Honda CR-V. At this time, the names of the involved parties have not been reported. Both drivers reported injuries after the accident, though their current conditions remain unknown. Police in Rabun County continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the wreck.
