Stone Mountain, GA (December 2, 2024) – Police in DeKalb County are currently investigating a fatal traffic accident that happened in Stone Mountain. Reports concerning the incident show it took place near the Kensington MARTA station just after 5:30 p.m. on Monday, December 2.
Officials arrived at the scene in the 3300 block of Mountain Drive near Memorial Drive, where they found two vehicles that had been damaged due to the crash. The DeKalb County Police Department reports that a 45-year-old driver lost his life at the scene. At this time, his identity has not been released. The second driver was transported to a local hospital with injuries deemed non-life-threatening. Police in Stone Mountain continue to investigate the incident.
